ROLE: UX Researcher & Implementor
Some UX projects are business-led features and rely on research to develop the best UX product.

Product Definition
For the launch and implementation of text messaging, business stakeholders requested a promotional text message sign-up landing page for email Customers.
Empathize & Research
Users/Customers would initially arrive on the website from an email promotional banner. Instead of having the user land on a modal process, we determined that it would be best for the user if they landed on a page. Drawing from Jacob’s Law concepts, I utilized competitive research by benchmarking how other eCommerce sites implemented sign-up pages for email, text, and other voluntary services. This research helped me to understand industry standards, what customers are used to, and identified opportunities for this product within its particular niche
Analysis
Based on the analysis, most signup landing pages presented benefits with icons for design emphasis so the customer understood why recieving text messages was helpful.
Design
For the landing page, I went through several rounds of wireframes and mockups iterating based on peer and stakeholder feedback.
Implementation
I coded, tested, and launched the mobile-first, responsive, landing page utilizing HTML, CSS, and SASS. In promotional emails, I applied a previously designed banner design into the email coding. I ensured usability for designers with an off switch, in case the feature needed to be removed from any or all emails.
Validation
This landing page was implemented in mid-December. Utilizing Fullstory has confirmed it’s use and function for the Customer. The measuring of KPIs is still an on-going process to ensure this is the best design for business and UX goals.
